Research has shown that vegetarians are generally healthier than people who eat meat. A low fat vegetarian diet is also good for weight loss which is an added benefit.

Vegetarians are also less likely to be overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, or colon cancer.

The chances of people who have a vegan diet dying from heart disease are much lower. Vegetarians have lower blood pressure even when they eat the same amount of salt as meat eaters and exercise less.

Many studies indicate that vegetarians have less chance of developing colon cancer, mainly due to the differences in the bacterial flora present in the colon.

Have you noticed that if you eat a bigger than normal meal or a high calorie meal, that you feel more tired and less energetic afterwards?

This is what I call FOOD COMA.

This is where you get extremely tired and you start to regret stuffing yourself, but it’s too late the DAMAGE is done. You can barely keep your eyes open and all you want to do is crawl up into a ball and go to sleep. You can’t focus or concentrate on work and even a simple conversation takes effort. All you want to do is lie down.

So many people have this experience on a daily basis. In fact, I was just like this during high school when I would gorge on fast food and pizza and junk.

But this is not how your body should feel after meals.
